Andhra Cabinet Meeting: Dearness Allowance increased to 24 percent

Amaravati (AP), Feb 21 (ANI): A cabinet meeting of the Government of Andhra Pradesh was held in Amaravati on Wednesday. During the meeting, the Cabinet approved the following decisions: Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees has been increased from 22 percent to 24 percent. Village Revenue Assistants will be paid Rs. 300 extra per month. This will cost Rs. 845.44 crore on the exchequer. Administrative permissions have also been given to allot Rs. 1244.36 crore to Navayuga Engineering Company for taking up concrete works in Polavaram project. A draft bill will provide autonomy to Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board, State Investment Promotion Board and State Investment Promotion Committee. Family entertainment centres will be set up in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati. 350 new posts will be filled in Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), of them 50 will be filled through outsourcing. 25 new posts will be filled in additional Chief Metropolitan magistrate- senior civil judges court in Vijayawada.
