This ‘Roti Bank’ provides meal at just Rs. 5

Kanpur (UP), Feb 25 (ANI): Residents in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur city have taken an initiative to run a food bank to provide square meals to the underprivileged and the poor for a nominal price of Rs. five. Members of ‘Roti Bank,’ have set up counters outside two city hospitals and claim to feed 500 people every day. The meal includes four rotis, pulses and rice. Manager of Roti Bank, Javed, said that the initiative was aimed at ensuring that no one sleeps on an empty stomach. The bank also provides food to those who are unable to pay, he added.
