Pune (Maharashtra), Mar 07 (ANI): Around 3000 professors of Pune’s Sinhgad College of Engineering have been staging protest since last 2 months over irregularities in payment of salaries to them by the authority. According to the protestors, they have been getting irregular salary since last six years. One of the professors of the college said since last 16 months they have received 40% of the salary and they are not being paid since last 3 months. Besides the protest, professors are teaching their students in open to support them for their upcoming exams. They are also providing the students all the required support and notes but are not willing to teach them in classroom unless they are paid their salaries. Sinhgad institute is very well known college and has about more than 80,000 students studying in different campuses whose future is on stake amidst the protest.
