Kathua (Jammu & Kashmir), May 17 (ANI): One civilian was injured in heavy shelling by Pakistani troops in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district on Thursday. Due to heavy mortar shelling, the residents have been moved to a safer place. Police officials visited the border area and enquired about the ground situation. The victim said, “Many people are still stuck in the area who were unable to escape. The mortar shelling have increased in the area.” One of the residents said, “On one side our Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti request for cease fire in Kashmir. On the other side Pakistan violating the cease fire. If the firing is going on from the other side till when will we stop ourselves.”
