After Ireland voted to change ‘abortion law’, Savita Halappanavar’s family hope for win

Belagavi (Karnataka), May 27 (ANI): After thousands of people voted to change Ireland’s law banning abortion, father of Savita Halappanavar, who died after she was denied abortion in Ireland in 2012, said that he hopes that ‘Yes Abortion’ campaign will win. He said, “Because of the 8th Amendment, which bans abortion in Ireland my daughter died as her operation could not have happened. We demanded that the Amendment should be repealed. We lost our daughter, but don’t want any other family to go through this. We have faith that ‘Yes Abortion’ will win.”
