BKU(A)’s Punjab wing holds tractor protest against fuel price hike

Samrala (Punjab), May 29 (ANI): Amid agitation against the increased fuel rates across the country, Bhartiya Kisan Union (Ambawata) BKU(A) in Punjab’s Samrala held a tractor protest on Tuesday. Under the leadership of party’s state president Balbir Singh Rajewal, farmers gathered in numbers to voice against government’s decision. Rajewal stressed on the fact that the ‘illogical’ hike in diesel and petrol rates is taking a toll on the pockets of the farmers. He said, “The farmers are not in a position to continue farming with diesel prices going high almost every day. Hence, we are here to handover over tractors to the administration to convey that farming is has turned difficult now.”
