Center gave Rs 2500 Crores for Sardar Patel statue and only Rs 1500 Crore for Amaravati: CM Chandrababu Naidu

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), May 12 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in a fresh attack against Centre, while addressing the TDP workers, said “The centre gave Rs 2500 Crore for Patel statue and only Rs 1500 Crore were given for the capital of Andhra Pradesh”. “How is it possible to build capital bigger and better than Delhi with such nominal funds?” CM Naidu questioned. He went on saying that “Andhra Pradesh is getting strokes one by one. People are anguished and asking why injustice is being done to us only”. CM Naidu was referring to World’s tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ‘Statue of Unity’, which is being built with an estimated cost of Rs 2500 Crore.
