DRI seizes fake currency notes worth Rs 3 lakh from Khurda Road Junction

Khorda (Odisha), May 25 (ANI): The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized fake Indian currency notes (FICN) of Rs 2000 denomination with the face value of 3 lakhs at Kurdha Road Junction. The DRI, Bhubaneshwar Regional Unit, intercepted a passenger from Kurdha Road Junction who was carrying FICN of Rs 2000 denomination in two bundles (100 PCs and 50 pcs) packed in a violet polythene packet. On interrogation it was known that the accused intended to exchange the FICN in Benguluru mainly by purchasing garments or exchanging with small traders or vendors.
