New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): Google is honouring Raja Ram Mohan Roy, the father of the Indian Renaissance, through a special doodle today. Raja Ram Mohan Roy, born this day in 1772, was a social reformer and stood against orthodox Hindu rituals including idol worshipping and ‘sati’. Not only religious reforms, Roy fought against various ‘social evils’ of the society and in support of equal rights for women, including the right to remarry and the right to hold property.
