Srinagar (J&K), May 30 (ANI): Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar on Wednesday are thronging markets to buy religious items during the holy month of Ramadan.Customers made a beeline at shops selling various religious items. Kashmir is seen all decked up as people were seen shopping and reciting holy Quran ahead of Eid. As compared to other months, Srinagar city was bustling with life as different items were on sale at various stalls, especially infront of mosques. Items like teeth cleaning twigs and perfumes have been coming from different countries including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kuwait, Indonesia, China and Pakistan. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. During Ramadan, Muslims pray six times a day, one more than usual. It involves rigorous fasting for about a month. They don’t indulge in any of the worldly pleasures and other addictions.
