Thoothukudi (TN), May 30 (ANI): The Thalaivar Rajinikanth visited Thoothukudi to meet Sterlite violence victims on Wednesday. He announced Rs 2 lakh each for the families of victims who died in the protest. Rajinikanth said, “I don’t want to comment more on it, but the Government needs to be careful as the people are watching, it was a huge mistake and a big lesson. I announce Rs two lakh each for the kin of victims who died in the protest”. At least 13 people died in violent anti-Sterlite protest in Thoothukudi. Tamil Nadu Government ordered closure of the plant following the incident.
