Shahkot (Punjab), May 31 (ANI): The counting of votes for by-elections has begun in Punjab’s Shahkot on Thursday. Three major political parties, the Congress, Akali Dal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) tried hard to woo voters. Over 1 lakh 70 thousand voters will decide the fate of 12 candidates in the fray. The Election Commission has deployed over a thousand security personnel in Shahkot. The major candidates are Naib Singh Kohar of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Hardev Singh Laddi Sherowalia of Congress, Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Rattan Singh Kakkar Kalan.
