Thoothukudi (Tamil Nadu), May 28 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Government ordered closure of Sterlite Industry in Thoothukudi following the deaths of 13 in police firing Anti-Sterlite protestors. The industry was facing the wrath of locals for polluting environment and affecting the residents. The Government Order (GO) asked Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNCB) to close and seal the plant (unit of Vedanta) permanently.
