Traceability is key to efficiency in aquaculture sector: CM Chandrababu Naidu

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), May 27 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met aqua farmers on Saturday. He said that traceability is the key to efficiency in aquaculture sector as only 60% of the farmers are currently registered with the State Government. CM Naidu added that it is vital that State Government have 100% farmers getting their lands registered so that they can get all the benefit provided by the State Government. The AP CM further asserted that farmers are encouraged to register so that the government can help them better. “Traceability is the key to efficiency in aquaculture sector. For this, it is vital that we have 100% farmers getting their lands registered. Since only 60% farms are registered, farmers are encouraged to register so that the government can help them better”. Earlier this week, Naidu urged Centre to respond to the problems on aqua farmers in the State. He stated, “The Central Government should take necessary steps regarding aqua exports. The prices of aqua products are falling continuously, causing depression to farmers. The matter is brought into the notice of Union Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu. He had asked Marketing Minister C Adinarayana Reddy to visit Delhi and create pressure on the Centre”.
