2 held in Khunti gang-rape case

Ranchi (Jharkhand), Jun 23 (ANI): In connection with Khunti gang-rape of five NGO workers, Additional Director General RK Mallick said that two of the total six accused have been arrested. ADG Mallick also said that the reason behind the incident was teaching a lesson. He said, “Six accused are involved in the case. All have been identified and two of them have been arrested. They revealed that they were of the view that anti-Pathalgadi sentiments will be portrayed in NGO’s street play and they wanted to teach them a lesson. The women were performing street play on anti-human trafficking.” On a related note, five women, associated with an NGO, were allegedly gang-raped on gunpoint in Jharkhand’s Khunti. At the time of the incident they were performing a street play to spread awareness.
