Amritsar (Punjab), June 13: Pradeep Kumar makes a living through a manufacturing shop he has been running in the hustles and bustles of the city of Amritsar for years. He has been highly efficient at what he does and has clients and customers from every nook and corner of the city. However, it is not his knack at moulding the steel into extraordinary products that draws everybody’s attention to his shop but his passion or say the compassion towards birds and animals with which he has been nurturing a number of them for decades. Animal lover Pradeep spends hours every day taking care of and treating these injured beings. He has two shops specifically for this purpose. He says he has inherited this compassion as well as the idea from his ancestors. The special guests in Kumar’s little kingdom include a variety of birds and animals such as pigeons, hawks, nightingales, mice, rabbits, and guinea pigs among others. Pradeep is also popular around the town for his generosity as he doesn’t charge anybody for the medical aid he provides to the injured animals. Not just his shop, his home is also a safe haven for animals which require cooler temperatures for their survival. Kumar says that he has been doing this for animals and birds since his childhood and his father has been a saviour of the speechless and is still enthusiastic about the same.
