Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Jun 02 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh is observing ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ today where Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu took a pledge to reconstruct and develop the state while accusing the Centre of betraying people by not providing adequate help. CM Naidu said, “Centre has betrayed us on all fronts. They are not providing financial aid in an adequate manner. All of us are reminded of 2014 as a painful year. June 2nd is a black day. I fought with Centre then. I appealed to them to do justice to all people in both regions. The BJP which came to power later betrayed our belief and is now playing conspiracy politics. Despite Centre’s non cooperation, we are working hard. Special status is our right. The then PM had promised it in parliament. Modi during his poll campaign assured special status. But after elections, scene changed.” The state was bifurcated on this day in 2014. This is fourth year of the ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’.
