Arvind Subramanian steps down as Chief Economic Adviser

New Delhi, Jun 20 (ANI): Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian cut his tenure short and retired citing “pressing family commitments”, as the reason behind his resignation on Wednesday. He said that his stint is enriching and exciting. “It has been the best job I ever had or will ever have. It was enriching and exciting. I will go back with the happiest best memories of this tenure”, said Arvind Subramanian. “I will always be committed to serving the country in future”, he added. He was appointed as the Chief Economic Adviser in September last year.
