Child Help Desk set up at Ernakulam railway station

Ernakulam (Kerala), Jun 08 (ANI): Child Help Desk has been set up by Railways, Ministry of Women and Child Development and District Administration at Kerala’s Ernakulam railway station. The Help Desk aims to identify and help children who are made to work forcefully. The Help Desk also has a helpline number 1098.
Ernakulam District Collector K Mohammed Y Safirulla inaugurated the office. “Ernakulam South Railway Station is one of the biggest stations in Kerala,” he said. “We hope that we will be able to make a positive intervention in safeguarding the rights of the children,” Safirulla added.
