Sitapur (UP), Jun 09 (ANI): A criminal with a bounty of Rs 1 lakh was shot dead in a police encounter in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district on Friday night. The incident took place when the criminal fired a few rounds of bullets on the police officials during checking of vehicles. When the police fired back, the criminal was hit while two of his associates escaped from the spot. The injured criminal was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. Three police officials have been injured in this encounter.
