Delhi Congress holds ‘Jal Satyagraha’ to protest against water crisis

New Delhi, Jun 09 (ANI): Congress party held a month-long ‘Jal Satyagraha’ across the national capital due to the problem of major water shortage in several parts of the city. The shortage of water has caused several problems for the citizens and has resulted in disputes among residents of localities. Headed by the President of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, Ajay Maken, the party members and locals today protested in Kasturba Nagar. Protestors chanted slogans and smashed pots. Criticising New Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, Maken said, “CM Kejriwal is himself the chairman of the Delhi Jal Board, so he cannot pass the blame onto anybody else. He has not attended the special session either. When he is not even a part of the session, then who will be answer our questions about water shortage?”
