I salute veteran journalist Kuldip Nayar who fought for freedom during Emergency: PM Modi

Mumbai, Jun 26 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a programme and remembered the ‘Emergency’ in Mumbai on Tuesday. Emergency was imposed by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the day is recognised as black day. While addressing BJP members, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the media which is supposed to work free and without the pressure of any political party had to work under pressure. He added, “I respect veteran journalist Kuldip Nayar ji, he fought for freedom during emergency, he maybe a harsh critic of us but I salute him for this”.
