Rishikesh (Uttarakhand), Jun 18 (ANI): Last rites ceremony of Sepoy Bikas Gurung was performed in Uttarakhand’s Rishikesh on Monday. Gurung lost his life during a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowshera on Saturday. Slain soldier got brutally injured in Pakistani firing, after which he was admitted to the hospital, but he succumbed to the injuries. Earlier, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat also paid tribute to the jawan. Yesterday, mortal remains of Sepoy Bikas Gurung arrived in his hometown.
