Mumbai, Jun 08 (ANI): After Pune police intercepted an internal communication of Maoists planning a ‘Rajiv Gandhi type’ assassination of Prime Minister Modi on Friday, Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam said that news of an assassination plot could be planted and it should be probed. “I am not saying this is completely untrue but it has been PM Modi’s old tactic, since he was CM, whenever his popularity declines, news of an assassination plot are planted. So it should be probed how much truth is in it this time”, said Nirupam.
