Plastic is necessity for us, but it shouldn’t become curse: Mahesh Sharma

New Delhi, Jun 05 (ANI): On the occasion of World Environment Day, Union Minister of State for Environment, Mahesh Sharma spoke about minimising the usage of plastic. He stressed on the fact that plastic is a necessity but at the same time, we need to make sure that our need shouldn’t turn into a curse. “Plastic is a necessity for us, but it shouldn’t become a curse. We have to abolish the use of single-use plastic in the world. We have a responsibility towards environment and mother nature,” he said. Urging to reduce its use, Sharma added, “We have certain responsibilities for the forthcoming generation and the nature. Hence, let’s pledge today that we’ll end the use of plastic.”
