Vanthali (Gujarat), Jun 04 (ANI): Farmers of Junagadh’s Vanthali region staged protest against sand mining in Ozat riverbed and blocked roads during their agitation. Situation worsened when the protest leader and RTI activist, Nayan was kidnapped and badly thrashed for protesting against sand mining on Monday morning. Angered crowd of hundreds blocked the Junagadh-Somnath highway and even pelted stones. The police had to resort teargas shells and baton charge at protestors to disperse the agitated crowd.
