Raigad (Maharashtra), Jun 6 (ANI): Maharashtra’s Raigad on Wednesday celebrated 345th Rajyabhishek Sohla (Coronation Ceremony) of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Every year, on June 6, Shivrajyabhishek is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Shivaji was popularly known as the warrior king, was coronated on June 6, 1674, and began his reign on the Maratha Empire. The celebrations of coronation include a specially organised march and programme at the Raigad fort in Maharashtra. Thousands of followers of Shivaji Maharaj gathered at the Raigad fort for the celebration of anniversary. The event was organised by Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati, descendant of Shivaji Maharaj and BJP MP from Kolhapur. #Maharashtra
