Shillong (Meghalaya), Jun 03 (ANI): Relaxation of few hours was provided to act as a window for tourists to exit the city. The army was asked to be on standby and curfew continued in some parts. Clash broke out in Meghalaya’s Shillong after a bus conductor was allegedly assaulted by a group of people on Thursday. The incident quickly escalated overnight and clashes erupted between two communities, which saw a shop and a house being set on fire. The situation became so grave that the army had to conduct flag marches, and authorities had to suspend Internet services in the city to prevent the hate messages from spreading.
