New Delhi, Jun 07 (ANI): The Ministry of Women and Children Development (MWCD) will be distributing a rape investigation kits to all police stations and hospitals to carry out immediate probe into the cases of sexual assault. WCD minister Maneka Gandhi said, “Each rape kit will be given to every police station and hospital so that, when a victim goes in, then all the medical investigations can be put into the kit & immediately sent to the closest forensic lab.” These kits will be made available with financial support under the Nirbhaya Fund, she said.
