Gadchiroli (Maharashtra), Jun 23 (ANI): In spite of achieving developmental milestones at an incredible pace in parts of Maharashtra, province’s tribal-dominant Gadchiroli district continues to remain bereft of any tangible progress. Rebel Naxals, the self-proclaimed saviours of tribal rights, have not only been creating bottlenecks in government-sponsored developmental projects but also been perpetrating violence and atrocities at those who dare to support it. As a consequence, people of the region have been teetering under an extremely insalubrious and underdeveloped atmosphere. Naxals are exasperated over the fact that their ideology is not gathering any traction amongst the tribals. They have received further setbacks as sustained efforts of government have been able to bring back radicals to the mainstream. The security forces of the country, whose coordinated efforts successfully eliminated a large number of these radicals of late, has further left them baffled.
