New Delhi, Jun 26 (ANI): Union Minister of Law Ravi Shankar Prasad recalled the dark days of the Emergency period when every institution was subverted and an atmosphere of fear was created. It was ordered by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. During a press conference in the national capital RS Prasad said, “When I was told to talk about this event various, I remembered my past when we were sent to jail, when we struggled for freedom. We witnessed cruelty very closely. Even today we must discuss Emergency period because Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Anant Kumar, and many other dignitaries (some old and some young) struggled for the freedom of lives, freedom of press and freedom of the Supreme Court.”
