Will observe Bharat Bandh on June 10, will request businessmen to shut their shops: RKMS President

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Jun 01 (ANI): As farmers across the country are all set to go for a 10-day protest from June 1 to 10 starting from Thursday, Shiv Kumar Sharma, President of Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Mahasangh said. The organisation also requested all the businessmen to close their shops till 2 pm on June 10 and pay tribute to the farmers, who lost their lives. He said, “We have decided to observe a Bharat Bandh on June 10 till 2 pm. Would like to request all the businessmen of cities to close their shops till 2 pm and pay tribute to farmers who have lost their lives in previous years.” He added, “All the organisations of Rashtriya Kisan Mahasangh have called for a nationwide farmers’ protest. We decided a strategy for preventing our protest to turn violent and that is why we have decided to remain at our villages and have called this ‘Gaon Bandh’. We don’t want to heckle the normal lives of the people that is why we won’t go to cities.” The farmers are demanding loan waiver and implementation of Swaminathan commission report. The farmers have called this movement as ‘Gaon Bandh’.
