Guwahati (Assam), Jul 30 (ANI): Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday urged people to maintain peace and tranquility in the state. “Assam is a very peaceful state and we are confident that all sections of society will come forward to maintain peace and tranquility in the time to come. We will always abide by the direction of Supreme Court,” said Sonowal. Assam on Monday released the final draft of NRC, nearly seven months after around 1.9 crore citizens were cleared in the first citizenship draft list. According to the state officials nobody will be deported on the basis of second draft and people will be given opportunity to put forth their claims.
