Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir), Jul 31 (ANI): A family has been living under the open sky since the past 10 days in Ladana village in Ramnagar block of Udhampur district. The family’s house was washed away during the recent spell of heavy rains in the region. The family awaits compensation from authorities after facing huge losses. The family members dodged any physical damage from the incident. Fending for food is also a task as their household materials are also buried under the debris. Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur assured full help to flood victims and said, “As soon as I get the final report of the damages, we will provide appropriate compensation. Whether it is house damage, cattle damage or any other type of loss, it will be compensated.”
