Nalasopara (Maharashtra), Jul 23 (ANI): A gangster was shot dead today in a police encounter after he allegedly attacked a police constable. The gangster was nabbed and shot dead by a local Crime Branch team in Tulinj area in Nallasopara township of Palghar district. Rana, however, attacked Constable Mangesh Sakpal with a knife following which the latter opened fire on him. Rana was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. Constable Mangesh Sakpal has been admitted to a nearby hospital.
