Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), Jul 01 (ANI): On the 1st year of the implementation of GST tax, handloom workers in Gorakhpur complain about worsened situations. Many complain their looms have been shut down and they have turned to daily wage labouring. A handloom owner said, “People refuse to buy produce from our looms because we cannot provide GST receipt.” People in the handloom trade fear that if the Center does not come up with a solution, they will be out of work soon.
