Handicraft centers opened to empower women in Rajouri

Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir), Jul 09 (ANI): In a move to empower women from economically weaker sections, handicraft centers are encouraging women from far off areas of Rajouri to learn weaving skills. The main objective of these centers is to not leave a single woman without any skill. These women from far off areas are called to learn handicrafts skills. The owners of the centers have urged the government to give them more than Rs 700. These centers give women opportunities to start their own work in their respective villages. One of the women worker said, “We want to work and want to open a centre together with all the girls and live our lives with respect. Many girl come from far off areas and learn handicraft.”
