Leh celebrates Annual festival of Tseskarmo monastery

Leh (Jammu & Kashmir) Jul 29 (ANI): The annual festival of Tseskarmo monastery was held with religious fervour and gaiety near Leh. Tseskarmo is a quiet place located about 100 kilometres from Leh. The place is ideal for meditation. The festival celebration also marks the 800+ commemoration of Lord Jigten Sumgon Mahaparinirvana. The head lama of Drikung Kagyu lineage, Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche was the chief guest on the occasion. Thousand of devotees, both locals and foreigners, thronged the monastery to celebrate the occasion. Monk in their best costumes performed ritual mask dance besides Yak dance, devotional song and folk song were also part of the celebration.
