Maratha stir: Protests turn violent in Pune

Pune (Maharashtra), Jul 30 (ANI): The protests by Maratha outfits over reservation for their community turned violent on Monday in Pune, with protestors burning several buses and tyres. The buses were set on fire at the Chakan industrial area, which is located on the Pune-Nashik highway on the city’s outskirts. The weeklong protests called by Maratha Kranti Morcha have been going on in several parts of Maharashtra over the demand for reservation for Maratha community.
