Military police corps conduct ‘bike rally’ ahead of Kargil Vijay Diwas

Dras (J&K), Jul 25 (ANI): ‘SHWET ASHW’, the elite motorcycle team of the Corps of Military Police undertook a motorcycle expedition to pay tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the Kargil war and to encourage young generation to join army. The expedition reached Dras from Bengaluru, encouraging youth on the way to join the army. The expedition covered the distance of more than 3250 kilometres across eight states. The event was flagged off from Bengaluru on 2 July, 2018. One of the Army personnel said, We have come here from Bangalore in a motorcycle rally to pay tributes to Kargil War martyrs. We have also come here to motivate the youngsters to join the army.” To commemorate the victory of Indian jawans in the Kargil War, July 26 is celebrated as Vijay Diwas every year.
