Muslims in Allahabad raze parts of mosques to make way for Kumbh pilgrims

Allahabad (UP), Jul 23 (ANI): With Allahabad Development Authority all geared up for widening the roads ahead of 2019 Kumbh Mela, Muslim community in Sangam city has gone an extra mile. The community has not only shown its support to the government’s move, but has also voluntarily demolished parts of various mosques in the old city area. While one of the mosques was demolished in Rajrooppur area, the boundary wall and a burial ground in Chakia was also razed down by the caretakers. Earlier, a mosque was also demolished near Indira Bhawan in Civil Lines area.
