Muzaffarpur shelter home rape case: JAP workers protest demanding Manju Verma’s resignation

Patna (Bihar), Jul 29 (ANI): Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) workers on Sunday staged a protest outside Bihar Minister of Social Welfare Manju Verma’s residence in the Muzaffarpur shelter home rape case. The protestors from Pappu Yadav’s party were demanding resignation of the Social Welfare Minister. The Nitish Kumar government received scathing criticisms from opposition parties including Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD. The sexual assault of 34 minor girls at a state-run shelter home in Muzaffarpur came to light after Mumbai-based Tata Institute of Social Sciences submitted a report, based on conversations with several girls at the home which was meant to be their shelter.
