Mumbai, Jul 06 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Gopal Shetty clarified his statement and said that his statement has been misrepresented. He said that he has never discriminated against anyone. Still, he has informed state party president about his decision to resign. Earlier, he invited controversy by claiming that Indian Christians had no role to play in the freedom movement. “Christians were British, hence they didn’t participate in the freedom movement,” he said.
