Palamu (Jharkhand), Jul 28 (ANI): For residents of Mahudand village in Palamu District, a metalled road connecting the village with a nearby town could serve as ‘road to prosperity’, but Naxals, who are greatest impediments to any development activity, sabotage all attempts undertaken by the government to build roads in this forested village. Creating a series of interventions to any vehicle of growth coming to the aboriginal residents, Naxals are jeopardizing the fundamental requirements of the villagers, thereby leaving them in extreme misery. The rebels have repeatedly claimed to be fighting for the rights of people, but in reality they are a major hurdle to peace and prosperity in Jharkhand.
