Latehar (Jharkhand), June 30 (ANI): Naxals, the self proclaimed champions of tribal rights are the real cause of underdevelopment in the villages of Latehar district of Jharkhand. The families in these areas are grappling with abject poverty and live hand to mouth by working on their small pieces of land. A reign of violence has left the region reeling with very little infrastructure for education, health, potable water, functioning markets or paved roads. The Naxals have not only been obstructing the government initiatives for tribal welfare but also threatening villagers with horrific consequences if they decide to support the administration. The residents here want peace and prosperity and want to get benefits of the government schemes launched exclusively for their prosperous lives.
