Polavaram (Andhra Pradesh), Jul 11 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited Polavaram irrigation project along with Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday. Responding to CM Naidu’s request for funds and release of DPR, Union Minister Gadkari said, “As a farmer so I can understand the value of water in the lives of farmers. Polavaram irrigation project can give a new life to farmers of Andhra Pradesh. Our government is committed towards completion of this project.” He further said that, Central government is keen on completion of the project and whatever funds are needed for the project, and they will provide. He also added that they need to get appropriate permissions for funds and justification over the increase in cost of the project.
