Omar Abdullah meets Mamata Banerjee to hold alliance talks

Howrah (WB), Jul 27 (ANI): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday. Omar stressed on the need to form an alliance of opposition parties to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the forthcoming 2019 General Elections. He said, “As a Chief Minister of West Bengal she has been very concerned with J&K. No discussions between the two of us would have been possible without discussing the prevailing situation in the country and the need for us to put together a united front to take on the BJP in the forthcoming general elections”
