Vasai (Maharashtra), Jul 07 (ANI): Almost 40 people were stranded at the Chinchoti waterfalls in Palghar district’s Vasai on Saturday. After heavy rainfall, the water levels rose leading to tourists being stranded at the waterfalls. A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was dispatched from Mumbai to look into the matter. 35 people are said to have been evacuated whilst rescue operations are still underway to rescue the remaining people. Heliservices, NDRF and the police together are working to rescue the people to safer regions.
