Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghtana workers bathe buffaloes in milk as part of strike

Washim (Maharashtra), Jul 19 (ANI): As the dairy farmers strike in Maharashtra entered its fourth day, protestors resorted to new techniques to get their voice heard. Members of SSS in Maharashtra’s Washim distributed milk, free of cost, to poor children. Protestors also bathed buffaloes with milk as a mark of their protest. Police detained four of the protestors. Dairy farmers are demanding subsidy of Rs 5 per liter and GST waiver from the State Government, until then they will not resume milk supply. Supply has been badly hit due to strike in state.
