Tourists throng world’s highest motorable pass in Kashmir valley

Leh (J&K), Jul 17 (ANI): Tourists and thrill seekers are thronging the world’s highest motorable pass which connects Jammu and Kashmir’s Nubra Valley to Leh. Tourists were seen clicking photos and enjoying the scenic view after being on the road for many hours. While many travel in cars, many thrill seekers ride on bikes and bicycles through the winding road in the mountains of the Kashmir valley to take a break from their daily routines. The elevation of Khardung La Pass is more than 5,000 meters and is 39.7 km from Leh. It is an important gateway to the Nubra and Shyok Valley and attracts innumerous international and domestic tourists every year. The temperature at Leh is pleasant and people from all over the country look at the hill town to beat the intense heat. The geo-climatic conditions, the landscape, culture and tradition are among other reasons that the tourism industry has flourished in the area.
